In an interview with 263Chat, Zimpraise Chief Executive officer, Joseph Madziyire said is touched by the plight of the underprivileged in society hence the decision to reach out to them with assistance.
“Some of these young people are driven into doing bad things because of the economic challenges our country is facing, so these people need counseling and rehabilitation for them to be back to the community.
“I am also challenging other gospel choirs to do the same because we need to spread the word of God to the world, that is our calling, let’s work and God will do the rest,” said Madziyire.
He added that Zimpraise plans to spread the program to other areas until they are able to cover the rest of the country.
Zimpraise recently launched their ninth DVD titled Pentecost that was recorded at the Harare Gardens during ZimPraise’s International Gospel and Music Festival last year in October. The festival featured South Africa’s Joyous Celebration co-founder, Jabu Hlongwane, and another gospel musician, Sipho Makhabane.
