The government has moved in to suspend the Statutory Instrument 122 of 2017 to allow the free flow of foreign goods, amid failure by the local manufacturing companies to supply the market as foreign currency runs dry from the central bank making it difficult for locals to acquire raw materials for production purposes.
Briefing the media in the capital today following cabinet resolutions on shortage of basic commodities, Information Minister Monica Mutsvangwa read out a list of items the government gives a green light to buy from outside.
