Miriam Sibanda, Benny Mamoche and Fungai Magosvonge were facing  fraud charges. The trio  is said to have  squandered  US$20 000 that was donated to the Mighty Warriors for their trip to Ghana by Freda Rebecca Mine.

The Acting Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Secretary General Joseph Mamutse tendered to the court an affidavit seeking the  withdrawal of the case.

Mr Mamutse said the resolution came after a board meeting which empowered him to take such action.

In his affidavit, Mamutse stated that he is the acting Secretary of ZIFA the complainant in the matter and is duly authorized by the Association to depose to the affidavit by virtue of board resolution.

The affidavit form did not disclose much on the reasons for the withdrawal as it only states that the complainant is withdrawing charges leveled against the accused persons.

It is now not clear whether the three will be reinstated back to their positions or will continue with their suspension as no mention of the money was made thereafter.
