The Zanu PF Manicaland youth league will this Saturday march from Government complex to Forbes Border Post in commemoration of their party leader, President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s escape following his dismissal from the government last year.
In an interview with 263Chat today, Zanu PF youth league chairperson for Manicaland Province, Tawanda Mukodza said through the blessing of the party’s provincial offices, the youth league will engage in the belated march in honor of their leader.
“The march is a brainchild of the youth league where we will be commemorating the escape made by his Excellency, last year through the Forbes Border post.
” So we are inviting everyone to come in support of this day, which is belated anyway as the president left the country on the 8th of November but due to other commitments, we were unable to commemorate on the actual day,” said Mukodza.
After his unceremonious but highly dramatic chase from the party, Mnangagwa left Zimbabwe through the Forbes Border post on his way to South Africa where he sought asylum before his return to take over power in both government and Zanu PF.
