Zanu PF Norton candidate, Ronald Chindedza said he remains confident that the ruling party will emerge victorious in the by-election set to be held in October.

Chindedza, will lock horns with Temba Mliswa, a former Zanu PF Provincial Chairperson and David Choga of National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) on 22 October.

Chindedza equated the by elections to a delayed match in which Zanu PF has already registered victory.

“Zanu PF has already won the elections and is ready to serve its people,” vowed Chindedza while addressing journalists in the capital recently.

He added, “Campaign ndeyana Temba otherwise isu chinhu takatora kare, (the campaign is meant for others like Temba, as for us, Zanu PF, we already have the seat in our pockets.”

The little known Chindedza blasted Mliswa  for  doling out cash to potential voters.

“We are aware that Temba is giving away money to voters in a bid to lure them to vote for him,” said Chindedza while threatening to ruthlessly deal with all sell-outs.

Meanwhile, Mliswa who recently threatened to pull out of the Norton Parliamentary by election citing the skyrocketing number of politically motivated violence remains optimistic that he will win the race.

“I will win the Norton seat because people love me, they are displaying that they have confidence in me,” said Mliswa adding that he is committed to transform the livelihood  Norton residents.
