Zanu PF Comrades Are Cowards: Malema

Julius Malema

Julius Malema, leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) one of South Africa’s leading opposition parties has labelled Zanu PF members, cowards for failing to end President Robert Mugabe’s continued stay on power despite his incapacity to discharge his duties, 263Chat can reveal.

Malema who was addressing the media during his party’s 2017 Plan of Action said President Mugabe was too old to rule, “Zimbabwe’s situation is bad. President Mugabe can’t even control a spade. He is no longer capable of discharging his responsibilities.”

“We don’t hate the man. They can respond and insult us anyhow they want, but they are a group of cowards, those comrades in Zanu-PF to be scared to say to an old man like President Mugabe, please with due respect let go,” said Malema.

The former Africa National Congress Youth President appeared to mock an incident that happened in Masvingo during Zanu PF’s National People’s Conference where President was seen failing to control a spade at a tree planting event, “President Mugabe cannot even control a spade it shows how old he is, he is no longer capable of discharging his duties and his responsibilities,

“His overstay is not doing justice on the African revolution project. He is destroying his own legacy.

“We celebrate Mugabe. We celebrate what he has done and we will continue his legacy, but grandpa it’s enough now. You must let go and allow other people to continue that legacy” added Malema.

The EFF Commander in Chief, did not spare the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) in his onslaught saying they are not an alternative to Zanu PF, “We are not even talking about MDC. MDC is not an alternative in Zim. It’s imperialist puppet that seeks to undermine the legitimate land question in Zimbabwe. We are not aligned to anything that seeks to reverse the land question and we genuinely believe that comrades in Zanu-PF who are young can continue.”

The combative EFF leader said Africa was entering an interesting period, in reference to Gambia’s Former President Yahya Jammeh’s decision to peacefully handover the reigns to Adama Barrow, winner of the last elections.
