Internationally-acclaimed Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has joined the team as a coach on season two of DStv’s The Voice Nigeria, joining the trio of Timi Dakolo, Patoranking and Waje, who reprise their roles from the previous series.

According to Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, the coaches on the show critique contestants’ performances and guide their teams of selected artistes through the season, while also competing to ensure that one of their acts wins the competition.

“Yemi Alade is well known as one of Nigeria’s biggest musical exports, with amazing appeal across Africa and in many international markets,” she said.

“Not only is she an amazing vocalist, but Yemi is also recognised for her energetic and entertaining performances on stage. The team on the show are thrilled to have her join The Voice and contestants and viewers are excited to see and hear her on the show.”
