A local women empowerment organisation, Woman Excel has urged women to work hard, use opportunities at their disposal to excel and make a difference in society.
Speaking to 263Chat on the sidelines of their annual conference in Harare today, Woman Excel’s Co- Founder, Edna Mukarazhizha encouraged women to be entrepreneurs and use opportunities at their disposal to excel.
“If you are a member of Woman Excel, you get attend mentor ship sessions and in these sessions we are encouraging women to be entrepreneurs,
“Our education system teaches us to be employees but after you graduate you don’t have to look for a job, you can be an entrepreneur and start your own business . The Reserve Bank right now is focusing on financial inclusion and women empowerment, they are giving out loans to women, so if you come and get mentor ship sessions from woman excel you can access loans from us,
“My advise to women is, you have what it takes in every area of your life, there is no need for you to feel sorry for yourself, God created you with a seed of greatness that is inside of you and no one and nothing can tell you it cannot be done,” said Mukarazhizha.
Addressing various women at the same event, Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Deputy Governor, Dr Tarisai Chipika emphasized on building the right relationships to excel in life also urging women to be people centered.
She added that the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe seeks to empower women financially even though most women are failing to satisfy the collateral required.
“You can only advance through relationships therefore it is key to build the right relationships in life, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe seeks to empower women and offers facilities that support them,
“We are giving loans to women though most are failing to satisfy the collateral required, the solution is coming very soon. The RBZ facilities can help women with small projects even if its starting with 50 chickens,” she said.
