Weekend Entertainment Review With Munashe Chokodza
This weekend history was made when the king of Zimdancehall, Winky D launched his 11th album , which coincided with his birthday celebrations at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC) ,becoming the first ZimDancehall artist to fill the 5000 seater auditorium.
With his life possibly depending on his new offering , as many thought he was past his prime, the Big-man, had plenty of surprises for the fans who were brave enough to part with their $15 dollars.
As has become the norm, the Gafa President did not disappoint as he launched the album in style.
He was ably supported by Any Muridzo, Jah Signal ,Killer T, Buffalo Soldier and the ever energetic, Kinnah, who threatened to steal the show from the man of the day, with his well polished act.
The talking point from the launch was the most unlikely collaboration with Vabati Va Jehova ,on a song which has become an instant hit, Dzika Ngirozi.
Winky D, dressed in a white garment with his silky dreadlocks , stole the show at his own show as he left thousands of his fans clamoring for more.
If only the night could be extended, party goers would have parted till Saturday afternoon.
Well done to Winky for leaving a lasting impression and we wish you many more Gafa.

Andy Muridzo before supporting his big brother Winky D had another show in Chitungwiza at White House where he managed to attract a number of music lovers.
He shared the stage with the Sungura promising star Senator Tichareva.
Glendale Tsungubvi Bar
Andy Muridzo who is working on his 4th album, seemed to have a busy weekend as he had a night to remember in Glendale on Saturday where he introduced some of his new songs which are on his upcoming album,,
However, the heavens opened a bit , threatening to steal the show.
Chegutu Gatsi Night Club
The King of Sungura Aleck Macheso ‘s show was cancelled after health authorities said the town is not ready to host such events due to the recent cholera outbreak which ravaged the town.
All hope is not lost though for Baba Sharon as he will have more time to work on his upcoming album which is due for release in March.
Mbare Zebra corner
Macheso had a family show in Mbare , which was a consolation for his cancelled show in Chegutu.
As usual , he produced a well polished act while satisfying his legion of fans..
Killer T and Freeman were in Epworth, at a well attended show on Saturday. The did their best to raise the bar.
