Warriors to prep for COSAFA Cup

Warriors will troop into camp on Monday ahead of the commencement of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) preliminary round matches in South Africa.

The COSAFA Cup roars into life on the 17th of May and the warriors will be hoping to have been prepared ahead of the encounter.

The players who have been previously named by Zimbabwe under-23 coach Calisto Pasuwa are expected to report for camp today ahead of the encounter this Saturday.

Given the financial challenges ZIFA is currently facing, the football mother body’s communications Manager Xolisani Gwesela could not confirm when the team would depart for South Africa as travel arrangements are still being finalised.

“We are still broke and we have approached government and the corporate world to assist us on our travel arrangements,” said Gwasela.

Gwasela went on to conform that the warriors will report for camping on Monday ahead of their encounter next weekend.
