Prince Edward Maul Hapless Kyle College

Hosts of the Dairiboard Schools Rugby Festival, Prince Edward School (The Tigers) produced a routine win over Kyle College, dispatching the Masvingo based school 31-7 on Jubilee Field.

Taking to the field for the first time this season, the Tigers’ first team produced a clinical display, punishing Spartans who were no match for PE- unbeaten last year.

Buoyed by their ever vocal and supportive fans, The Tigers scored five tries, three of which were converted on their road to the victory.

Kyle could only manage one try in the second half, which they duly converted.

The game was full of tension as the future stars tried to outsmart each other and flex their muscles in front of a descent crowd.

It was an unfortunate result for Kyle, who have become ceremonial bridesmaids to PE over the past few years.

In other results of matches played yesterday, powerhouse Churchill Boys School romped to a scintillating victory over Hillcrest College 18-15.

St Georges, the Dragons, spit fire over Milton Boys after beating the Bulawayo based team 24-7.

In a one-sided affair, St Johns College, The Rams, dispatched St Johns High 55-0.

Ellis Robins (25) beat Goromonzi High(14) while Lomagundi College (33) beat Allan Wilson School (00).

The festival continues today with developmental sides taking part while there will e developmental workshops running concurrently with the festival.
