TelOne, a leading mobile telecommunications service provider, yesterday launched a mobile application and rebranded it website in an effort to redefine client experience.
Speaking during the launch of the two platforms, TelOne Managing Director, Chipo Mtasa said as part of the parastatal’s commitment to bring better service to its customers, they have launched a mobile application that is easily accessible to its clients.
Mtasa said they have also rebranded their website in an effort to expand and keep up with the changing social media terrain.
“It is a beginning for us, building a foundation for competing with other social media platforms. Obviously, we cannot give up and just watch our revenues decline. We are saying that we need to find means and ways of integrating our platforms to come up with our own value offering to the market,” she said.
TelOne Marketing and Business Development Head, Maureen Chirambaguhwa said the mobile application will enhance customer experience as it is real time and allows real time interaction via TelOne’s Social Networks.
She applauded the development which she says will double the company’s revenue from the online payment system.
The company’s online payment systems averages $800, 000 per month.
The newly launched mobile application comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot locator which allows customers to easily locate the nearest Wi-Fi spot from the over 200 hotspots dotted around the country.
