2016 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, Caps United captain, Moses Muchenje believes the current crop of players at the Green Machine are determined to set records
Makepekepe who also qualified for the money spinning stage of the Confederations of African Football Champions league after eliminating the five time champions TP Mazembe will be hoping to put up a good show and try to retain the league championship.
Muchenje said this current caps team can go places because of the wanting to set records and be legends of Zimbabwean football.
“Every team we have faced in recent times want to beat us but it may not be possible its our time to shine
“As the leader of the team I feel the heat of being at the heart of a team that demands results and set records but our determination will make it difficult for our opponents to beat us,” said Muchenje.
Muchenje added that after knocking out TP Mazembe, they are also looking at performing well in the group stages, a feat he believes will not be easy considering that every team participating at that stage wants to win.
Although Makepekepe is having financial problems with players constantly threatening to boycott trainings and matches, Muchenje believes theirs is a duty to deliver results to the team fans who have been a bedrock of their recent success.
On Sunday the Green Machine will be looking to add another silverware when they go into battle with their perennial rivals Dynamos in the Uhuru Cup semi finals at the National Sports Stadium.
