Orchestra Dendera Kings front man Sulumani Chimbetu will headline the inaugural edition of the Lake December Festival set for the 10th of December at Lake Chivero.
The Batai Munhu hit-maker who launched his new album on Saturday will share the stage with Stunner, Amara Brown, Andy Muridzo and Killer T among other artists who have been lined up to entertain music lovers.
Sulu as he is popularly known in showbiz circles launched his new album, Jamboree, over the weekend and will use the show to sample his new tracks which includes Moses, Arasa Mwana and Mamonya among others.
Munashe Chokodza, one of the organizers of the event said the festival will not disappoint music lovers as they have lined up a number of mouth-watering activities to keep the crowd entertained.
“We have a lot of activities lined for the special day to cater for everyone including braai, live performances, family fun games, and beach soccer among other hosts of festivities. Sulumani Chimbetu will be the main act, he is a big artist and music lovers should expect fireworks. He will obviously sample his new songs from the new album and we expect a polished act,” said Chokodza.
He however assured fans that tents will be available in the event that there is rain.
Tickets are already on sale with the cheapest ticket going for US$5 while the VIP is pegged at US$25. With the festive season fast approaching, Lake December Festival is a dress rehearsal for those who want to get into an early Christmas mood.
