Star Studded Lineup for BUSTOP TV Anniversary

Zimbabwe’s leading comedy television BUSTOP TV will on the 26th of November celebrate two years of existence through a star studded comedy show featuring top performers at the New Ambassador Hotel.

On the line-up is award winning comedian, Doc Vikela whose command of the Karanga dialect has endeared him with comedy lovers in Zimbabwe as well as seasoned comedian and founder of Shoko Festival, Comrade Fatso from Zambezi TV and Boss Keda from PO Box among a long list of comedians set to entertain comedy lovers.

In an interview with 263Chat, organizer of the event, Luckie Aaroni said the event marks the beginning of BUSTOP TV’s comedy shows to be held in the future adding that they have plans to make this an annual function.

“Yes we want to move into other things like stand-up comedy, short films but we will keep doing skits as this is what the people have known us for,” said Aaroni.

Aaroni added that the event is a celebration of BUSTOP TV’s two years of collaboration, continuity, and consistency as well as the recent Zimbabwe Women Achievers (ZIWA) 2016 people’s choice award scooped by Magi and Gonyeti in the United Kingdom.

To cater for music lovers who may want to support BUSTOP TV, Aaroni said they have included musicians such as BaShupi and ProBeats on the list of performers. The other half of BUSTOP TV actors Sharon Chideu whose stage name is Magi will also make her maiden comedy show following in the footsteps of Gonyeti who has already made a mark on the stand-up comedy stage since her debut show early this year.

The second anniversary comedy show will feature seasoned and upcoming stand-up comedians including Doc Vikela, Gonyeti, Magi, Boss Keda, Q The Boss, Mandla the Comedian, Tinaye, Baba Shupi, ProBeats ,Madzitate and Comrade Fatso.
