Internationally acclaimed Zimbabwean singer-songwriter and producer, Ryan Koriya will perform at this year’s Neverland Zimbabwe 2019 and Vic Falls Carnival next month.
Fresh from signing a new deal which will see him perform as KYLLO, the Spain-based talented artist will officially launch his Afro House and Pop inspired Dance music project in the country.
Speaking from his base in Ibiza, Spain, Koriya said he is relishing the moment as he had last performed in the country three years ago.
“It’s been over three years since my last performance in Zimbabwe (The Drowning In Space tour) so it will be a special way to end 2019.
“This will be the first time I will ever be performing without my guitar in Zimbabwe which frees me up to move around and really vibe with the crowd. I released my first Deep House single in 2014 with Danny Darko and I am looking forward to churning these dance tracks and more, live in full electronic tilt,” he said.
Commenting on the name change, Koriya said: “KYLLO is my Calvin Harris meets Imagine Dragons meets Seal. Being a strings player myself, I am also adding Orchestral Sounds to the mix as well as Tribal/Ethnic elements which I am currently dubbing as Symphonic Dance Music or Passion Pop.”
He added that he still be performing guitar music in the future but under a different name, also signed to Runway Vertical Records.
