African Roots Music maestro, Bryn Taurai Mteki porpularly known as Sekurutau has reached out to Chimurenga music icon, Dr Thomas Mapfumo saying his home coming was long overdue.
Sekurutau took to Facebook to announce his warm regards to the legendary singer Mapfumo also known as Mukanya by his legion of fans while giving a hint on a possible collaboration with the Mamvemve hitmaker.

Dr Mapfumo returned home last week from his base in the United States after a 14-year absence.
Speaking at a Press conference recently, Dr Mapfumo expressed his willingness to work with local artists- a departure from his previous hardline stance against sharing the studio mic with other artists.
Contacted for comment, Dr Mapfumo’s publicis,t Blessing Vava confirmed that a meeting between Dr Mapfumo and Sekurutau was scheduled for next week, though he could not reveal more details.
The multi-talented singer, songwriter and composer cum businessman, Sekurutau is likely to include his impending collaboration with Dr Mapfumo on his upcoming album.
Sekurutau comes from a family tree of great sculptors with his father Richard Mteki and late uncle Boira Mteki being renowned sculptors of the first generation.
Apart from music and sculpture, Sekurutau is a businessman and founder of BrynBrands with interests in retail supermarkets, bottle stores, night clubs, real estate, butcheries and takeaways.
