Dairibord Holdings Limited (DHL) has appointed Josphat Sachikonye as the new board chairman, effective from last week.
Sachikonye took over from former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor, Leonard Tshumba who has been at the helm of Dairiboard for the past six years.
Last week Tshumba advised stakeholders that his term extended in 2014 has expired and in terms of Article 85(A) of the Articles of Association he was due to retire from the board.
The former governor then retired from the board at the conclusion of the company’s 23rd Annual General meeting held mid last week in the capital.
In a notice yesterday, company secretary Mercy Ndoro congratulated Sachikonye on his appointment, wishing him success during his tenure.
“The board and management of Dairibord Holdings congratulate Sachikonye on his appointment and wish him success during his tenure in office,” Ndoro said.
Sachikonye served as a non executive director for several public and private sector companies such as Cresta Group, Murowa, National Merchant Bank, Diamonds and Cottco.
