There was drama at Harare Magistrates Court yesterday after a couple who had come for a wedding engaged in running battles following an alleged misunderstanding over use of different signatures on the court book and marriage certificate by the groom.
The fracas witnessed by 263Chat saw the bride running away in the middle of the ceremony leaving the groom stranded.
Despite efforts from relatives of the couple to bring the two together did not yield results as the groom got into a taxi and left the Magistrates Court never to return back.
According to a source at the court, the husband is believed to have used two different signatures on the court book and marriage certificate which did not go down well with her mistress who felt that it was a way to cheat her.
One of the relatives tried to negotiate with reporters to delete pictures and videos pleading that it was a minor issue that they will be able to settle.
“Our daughter-in-law just over reacted but there is no issue here, please delete pictures,” said the woman who refused to say her name.
