Upcoming Zimdancehall artist, Richmore Chiteve also known as Ray Cee, is set to release a new album titled, Shanda, later this month.
In an interview with 263chat the Marondera based, Ray Cee said that he is working on his debut album after a series singles.
“Now I am working on my album which I will definitely release this month,” he said adding that he was happy to be launching his first album.
He said he will continue working on albums rather than singles.
“Being able to release albums is a good initiative for me because it shows maturity in the industry. It is not easy to come up with an album but I am managing it since I ventured on the showbiz scene,” he said.
He said he is promising a funfilled event at a venue yet to be confirmed.
“We have been rehearsing for the day since it means a lot to us and all I can say is people must come in numbers to party and celebrate with us,” he said.
Ray Cee who has released singles including ‘Mashava Girl’, which won the best Rap song at the Marondera Music Awards, (MMA) last year continues to shine.
The 22 year old, Ray Cee released his first single, New Kid when he was in form 3. He also boosts of songs like Uri Kure, Ma Champions, Ndakura Manje, Hukama and Mashava girl. Mashava girl was inspired by University life at Great Zimbabwe’s Mashava campus.
Away from the stage, Ray Cee is currently studying media and cultural studies at Great Zimbabwe University. He is a music producer.
