Under fire Dynamos coach, Lloyd Mutasa who has failed to win in his last three games has defended his players saying he has faith that they will deliver and win the hearts of hard to please Dembare fans.
During the Shabanie match, Dynamos fans broke into ‘Paumire pakawoma’ chorus usually sung to express disgruntlement with the coach, but Samaita as Mutasa is famously known in football circles still believes he has the pedigree to turn things around.
“They (fans) have their own view of the game but as a coach I have my own way of deciding the first eleven to play and how the game proceeds.
“I understand their frustration but have faith that this is a group of players who can deliver because they are creating,” said Mutasa.
This season alone, Dynamos lost to FC Platinum, How Mine and Black Rhinos and were held to a one all draw against Shabanie FC at the National Sports Stadium last week.
In his words, the Dynamos coach is under no pressure as he is confident of his charges.
“This tea is improving with every game and I am happy with how they are developing as players and I have no doubt that this project is for the long haul,” he added.
Mutasa defended Elisha Muroiwa who has been struggling with form saying he will improve and get back to his best.
“Every dog has its day but I am sure Muroiwa’s form will pick up,” he added.
Muroiwa was dropped out of the team that played against Shabanie Mine.
Dynamos play in another late kickoff match against fellow strugglers Harare City at the National Sports Stadium on Thursday and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways.
