A Mabvuku based event management company, Pembera Events is set to host the inaugural edition of Miss Mabvuku pageant on the 22nd of Decent at Talent Village
The pageant which will be held annually, seeks to promote and empower the girl child while showcasing the vast talent found in Mabvuku and Tafara in as far as lifestyle and entertainment is concerned.
The organizer’s, Pembera Events are an outfit which is there to promote talent and they saw it possible to do the contest in order to promote Talent in Mabvuku Tafara since the organizers came from the same community.
Miss Mabvuku Tafara event is also set to counter the challenges and abuse the girl child is facing in the community. Recently Mabvuku- Tafara had places which were known for drug abuse and exploitation of the girl child, a place called Gaza emerged in the community which was a brothel where young girls were taken to act as sex workers for a small amount of money.
The Pembera saw this as time for people to act in a different way to show the outside community that Mabvuku Tafara has Talent and can do it like any other communities other than being known for wrong reasons such as Drug abuse, girl child abuse, water shortages and other negatives the community is associated with and therefore the aim of the event is to bring Mabvuku Tafara on the map on a positive tip
