2016 Chibuku Super Cup winners, Ngezi Platinum Stars are optimistic of pulling another shocker and retain the trophy that will see them book a place in the lucrative Confederations of African Football (CAF) Confederations Cup next year.

“The team is in good form coming from the win against Harare City last Friday and we are the defending champions of the cup. We want to win it and go back to the Confederations cup next year.
“We have a dream to build our profile in Africa, so we have to continue rubbing shoulders with other African teams and this is another route to that dream. The boys are working very hard to win against Caps United,” said Mavunga.
He added that, “We are also fight to grab the league again because we are in a good position to have the league and we want both the league and Chibuku cup.”
