New NetOne Board Appointed

Minister of Information Communication Technology and Courier Services, Kazembe Kazembe has appointed a new NetOne Board, two months after government dissolved the Peter Chingoka led administration.

James Prince Mutizwa has taken over the reigns as Netone Board Chairman deputized by Susan Muchaneta Mutangadura.

Other board members appointed by Kazembe includes Winston Makamure, Mathias Rangarirai Mavhunga and Paradzai Mutandwa Chakona.

Announcing the new NetOne Board during a press conference held in the capital this afternoon, Kazembe said the absence of a board for two months had affected operations particularly in areas where there was need for Board decisions.

“The new Board is expected to set values for the organisation, ensure wider impacts even to the non-listed sector and to act in the interest of the organization and all its stakeholders including the government by facilitating effective and prudent management that can deliver the long term success of NetOne” said Kazembe.
