Addis Ababa, Ethiopia- Zimbabwe’s Deputy Attorney General, Florence Ziyambi has just been re-elected to the Vice Chairperson post at the African Union Advisory Board on Corruption.
The African Union Advisory Board on Corruption, an autonomous organ established to champion Africa’s fight against corruption was ratified by 34 countries including Zimbabwe.
After her re-election, Ziyambi expressed gratitude for the support she received from President Robert Mugabe and Foreign Affairs Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi whom she said had shown faith and confidence in her capabilities.
The African Union Advisory Board on Corruption is based in Arusha Tanzania and the board meets regularly to discuss various issues around combating corruption in Africa.
