The Group Chief Executive Officer, Tendai Madzivanyika, told 263Chat in Bulawayo during the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel Expo that the App is a digital concierge, delivering travel experience to customers.

“It provides the means to book and pay online for all products and services on the App. Through this application, we give people all over Zimbabwe the ability to book and pay for a whole hosts of products throughout the country.

“It does not only cover our hotels, but several partner hotels. We have made it possible for people to access information, make booking and pay online with ease,” said Madzivanyika.

He hinted that the group is mulling future plans to have the application moving from covering hotels only to lodges.

The Hotel has been seeing sustained profitability stability stemming from cost cutting initiatives over the past five years.

RTG reported a 2 percent increase in revenues to $11,6 million attributed to strong performance across all hotels except for its two Harare hotels, Rainbow Towers and Ambassador hotel, which averaged a 13 percent slump in revenues due to social media attacks.
