Generation 40 (G40) kingpin and former Foreign Affairs minister Walter Mzembi has distanced himself from Saviour Kasukuwere’s #TysonWabantu Movement.
Mzembi took to Twitter to dispute information that was making rounds on different social media platforms that he would be deputizing Kasukuwere in the emerging political movement.
Spearheaded by Saviour Tyson Kasukuwere, another G40 kingpin and also former ZANU PF political commissar, the #TysonWabantu movement is said to be angling to rescue the country from the current economic and political unrest.
Mzembi set the record straight that he is not in the structures of the movement being leaded by his colleague.
“I applaud every effort to democratize our country and wish @HonKasukuwere well in his efforts, for the record I am not his Deputy in the #tysonwabantu nor in any structure,’ wrote Mzembi on his twitter handle.
The former ZANU PF foreign affairs minister however, registered his zeal to lead in politics and a political comeback without mentioning time.
“I will pronounce myself in due course on Zimbabwean politics and my vision going forward,” he said.
Mzembi and Kasukuwere are some of the G40 members that were nabbed for different cases after the fall of former president Robert Gabriel Mugabe.
