Warriors head coach, Sunday Chidzambwa has conceded that he misses skipper and talisman, Knowledge Musona who will not feature in the return fixture against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) following his red card for a second bookable offense on Saturday.
Besides Musona, the Warriors will be without goalkeeper George Chigova and defender Alec Mudimu, who picked their second yellow cards in reverse fixture on Saturday ruling them out of this match.
The Belgian based striker was sent off in the 74th minute for a second bookable offense, a few moments after he had doubled the lead.
Ronald Pfumbidzai scored the other goal while the hosts getting the consolation through England based Yannick Bolasie.
Musona is currently the joint top scorer in the continental competition with four goals.
Chidzambwa is, however, adamant, that although Musona will be missed, his replacement is ready to step up and fill in the shoes of the captain.
“We will obviously miss him (Musona) because he is a key figure of the team. He is our captain and we would have wanted to have him for tomorrow’s (today) game. However, we believe we have an able replacement that will fill those shoes.
“The fans will have to see who that person is and they will see that he is capable,’ said Mhofu.
Ovidy Karuru is expected to take Musona armband and position on the wings.
The Warriors need nothing short of a victory tonight to secure their ticket to next year’s AFCON Championship in Cameroon.
