Mukandi is Still Our Player: Ndiraya

Ngezi Platinum Stars coach, Tonderai Ndiraya has refuted claims that he has ditched combative midfielder, Dominic Mukandi in favor of Dynamos utility player Tichaona Chipunza.

Ndiraya who has been busy on the market reinforcing his squad ahead of the 2018 premier league season said no club has approached him seeking the services of his talismanic midfielder.

“Mukandi still has a running contract with Ngezi, no one has been in touch with us to enquire on his services. If he was keen on leaving, I would have known or he would have told me,” said Ndiraya in an interview with 263Chat.

“We have not been in touch with Chipunza because we do not want to compete with Dembare for other reasons.

“Dynamos is a big club and it is good for young players because it gives them courage to be good players together with Highlanders and Caps United.

“If Chipunza want to come and join us, he should come and show the club that he is worth being at Ngezi,” said Ndiraya

The former Dynamos player and assistant coach said he is looking to replace players whose contracts have expired.

“We are preparing for the upcoming season and we are going to include an experienced goalkeeper, two experienced defenders, one midfielder and one striker for us to achieve what we want because this season we are going for the big one,” said Ndiraya
