Mnangagwa to Meet Zim Investors in South Africa

President Emmerson Mnangagwa is moving ahead with his aggressive approach to investment and is expected to meet and address potential investors in South Africa who are keen to do business with Zimbabwe.

The meeting which comes soon after his inauguration is a bold statement to his open door approach to foreign direct investment, something that appears to be bearing if the number of people who are reportedly looking at opportunities to open businesses in Zimbabwe.

According to a letter by the Zimbabwe Embassy in South Africa, the meeting is scheduled for Thursday 21 December 2017 will be addressed by Mnangagwa who is expected to meet Zimbabweans doing business in South Africa.

“His Excellency Ambassador Isaac Moyo invites all Zimbabweans doing business in South Africa and all business persons with an interest in investing in Zimbabwe to a business meeting which will be addressed by His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa,the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe .

“The meeting is scheduled for Thursday,21 December 2017 at the Zimbabwe Embassy ,798 Merton Avenue,Arcadia,Pretoria,” reads part of the letter in possession of 263Chat.

Mnangagwa has previously indicated that the current 51-49 percent shareholding will only apply to natural resource-based investment, something that has further charmed potential investors who were worried about the vagueness of the indigenization policy.
