Mind Games Set For Premiere

Multi award winning Zimbabwean local feature film, Mind Games will hit the local cinema on the 31st of May with producers saying the production will keep viewers gripped to the screen till the end.

Mind Games is a locally produced psychological thriller set in modern day Zimbabwe that unravels the complexities of human thought and emotion, as EX played by Kevin Hanssen is a genius psychopath who takes Sam played by Dax Jackson through a series of tests that inadvertently force Sam to revisit his dark secrets and resolve his personal demons.

In an interview with 263Chat, Charles Mawungwa co-producer of the film said all is set for premiere.

“The premiere will be a red carpet event which will showcase a variety of activities mainly pictures being taken mixing and mingling with the cast and crew as tickets are already on sale

“Mind Games has been showing around the world at various festivals where it has also been recognized by winning accolades for the best Narrative Feature Award at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, and it has also made it to Five Continents International Film Festival where the film won best editing feature award

Locally the film was shown at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival 2017 where it won best actor and best Zimbabwean feature film awards,” said Mawungwa.

Mawungwa, who co produced the film with his wife Thandiwe said people should expect to be entertained by the film as it will keep them guessing and gripped to the screen till the end.

“People should come in their numbers and support our cinema as it is now showing progress as more local films are now being made and have been doing well locally and abroad” added Mawungwa

Mind Games is an adaptation of the short film which Charles Mawungwa did in 2006 which won the most outstanding screen production at NAMA 2006 and won most promising director at the Zimbabwe international film festival.
