Metro Peech, Browne Wholesalers Open 17 Bureaux De Change Outlets Nationwide

Leading wholesaler, Metro Peech and Browne have expanded its business footprint into the financial service market by setting up 17 Bureaux de Change outlets across the country.

The move is expected to ease foreign currency exchange solutions to customers on the market and also strengthen foreign currency availability on the interbank market.

The new Bureau de Change allow customers to convert foreign currencies including United States Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP) and South African Rand (ZAR) into local Zimbabwean Dollars (ZWL) at market-leading rates.

“We are pleased to announce that our fully-authorised and licensed Bureaux de Change are now open at all 17 Metro Peech and Browne Wholesalers throughout Zimbabwe. We have introduced advanced software which allows for instant, secure and convenient financial transactions for customers visiting any of our branches,” said Margaret Bushu, Bureau de Change Manager of Metro Peech and Browne Wholesalers.

The Metro Peech and Browne bureaux de changes adds on top of over 46 bureaux de changes already licensed by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

A recent study showed that due to the flourishing of the illegal foreign currency trading activities, Zimbabwe needs at least 200 bureaux de changes to to lure foreign currency into formal banking channels and ensure the inter bank foreign exchange market functions efficiently.

Among an array of services Metro Peech and Browne is offering is the while-you-wait transfers available between CABS, CBZ, Nedbank, Stanbic Bank, EcoBank, FBC Bank, ZB Bank, BancABC and First Capital Bank.

Transfers to NMB, Steward Bank, African Century, Standard Chartered, AgriBank and POSB are also available while mobile cash services which include Ecocash, One Money, Textacash and international remittance is possible with Mukuru, MasterCard and Visa.

 Printed receipts will be issued as proof of each transaction and customers can request daily updates on exchange rates by contacting +263 242 486981/2 or +263 242 447419 and requesting the Bureau de Change.
