The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reduced the price of fuel with petrol going down from US$1.76 to US$1.70 while diesel is now selling for US$1.80 down from US$1.86.
The Russia-Ukraine war has increased the volatility of fuel prices which almost hit US$2 per litre earlier this month. This forced government to suspend some of its taxes that were making the precious liquid beyond the reach of many.
The price in local Zimbabwean dollars has also gone down with petrol and diesel now going for ZWL$675.35 and ZWL$714.45 from last week price of ZWL$677.32 and ZWL$714.91 respectively.
