A Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford look-alike, Ishmael Duwa Austin has been dragged before the Harare Magistrates Court to answer charges of fraud.
Austin who recently caused stir on social media with people likening him to the Manchester United sensation, stood before Harare Magistrate court Saturday on allegations of defrauding a Harare resident Grace Chikwava of US$4000.
The circumstances are that Austin wrote on his Facebook account that he was selling a Mercedes Benz Vito at a price of US$2 200.
The complainant (Chikwava) contacted Austin expressing interest in the car and they agreed to meet at Rainbow Towers Hotel.
The accused changed goal posts and hiked the price of the car to US$4000.
Chikwava later made a payment of US$4000 to Austin.
The complainant then realized that she was duped on the following day after she was told by the accused person that he was in Chinhoyi and that the car was at Rainbow Towers.
Chikwava made a police report leading to the Rashford look-alike’s arrest.
He was released on $50 bail.
Sebastian Mutizirwa appeared for the state.
Austin gained fame last week resulting in him meeting former Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) President Doctor Phillip Chiyangwa for a photo shoot.
