Divine Destiny Religious leader, Bishop Ancelimo Magaya blasted Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance, (PHD) ministries Founder Walter Magaya saying that he was used by the government to convince people to accept the recently announced bond notes.
This comes after PHD leader, Walter Magaya summoned journalists and members of his church to a service in which he encouraged people to accept bond notes.
Bishop Magaya has since hit back at PHD leader, saying he was being used by the country’s power bloc to influence people into accepting bond notes.
“He is just being a tool, which is used by the government to convince people to accept the recently announced bond notes,” he said.
Sharing his perspective on bond notes, Bishop Magaya said that Zimbabweans must in all forms resist bond notes saying that they will only take people back to the 2008 situation.
He said bond notes are a Zanu PF tool being used as a campaign strategy for the 2018 elections.
“Zanu PF is only finding something to ride on prior to the forth coming elections and it is clear that Zanu PF has dismally failed to handle the country’s economy.
“Zanu PF has failed to revive this economy and it is now finding something to lean on knowing that 2018 is around the corner,” charged Bishop Magaya
Bishop Magaya said that instead of backing the bond notes with the $200 million AFRIXEM bank loan, government should just avail the $200 million for circulation.
“If the government really wants to curb the cash crisis, why they can’t just put that $200 million in banks for circulation,” queried Bishop Magaya.
