The Liberian national team have arrived in Harare for the opening Group G Africa Cup of Nations clash against the Warriors’ on Sunday at the National Sports Stadium.
Liberian coach, James Salinsa Debbah, brought a relatively youthful team which he believes will upset the Warriors.
“It’s a very important game that we are prepared for, we expect to win, nothing less,” he told journalists soon after touching down at the Harare International Airport.
“We know a bit about Zimbabwe. We saw them at the Africa Cup of Nations. They are a very good team with a young side like ours. We have some very young players toobecause we are rebuilding the team.”
The west Africans would be without four key players, including their Moroccan based striker, William Jebor, who is away mourning the death of his mother.
Mamelodi Sundowns winger Anthony Laffor has been ruled out of the match through injury.
Liberia is the lowest ranked team in the group, which also consists of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo Brazzaville. zifmnews.com
