The Law Society of Zimbabwe (LSZ) Tuesday warned a fraudulent law firm, Simbi Legal Aid to stop operations after adverts by the company surfaced on social media of the firm purporting to be offering legal aid.

LZS executive secretary Edward Mapara warned the public against engaging the firm saying it is operating illegally on behalf of another firm which is under investigations for unprofessional conduct.

It has come to the attention of the LSZ that there is an entity advertising itself on social media platforms as a provider of legal services. The entity is called Simbi Legal Aid. Investigations conducted by the Society show that the entity is a sham.

“The entity is a front for a law firm which is currently under probe for unprofessional conduct. Be advised accordingly,” reads the statement.
