Just In: Mnangagwa rings changes as Mudede Finally Retires

President Emmerson Mnangagwa today ringed changes to cabinet ministries and other government departments which saw the retirement of long serving Registrar General, Tobaiwa Mudede.

Mudede who has been at the helm of the registry offices for the longest period  has of late been tangled in a scandal after he was accused of barring the issuance of a passport to Journalist Violet Gonda.

The 74-year-old was controversially allowed to stay beyond the Public Service retirement age, which is 65 years.

Below are the some of the permanent secretaries and Principal directors  who were approved for retirement by President Mnangagwa

Mr Ngoni Masoka
Mr Partson Mbiriri
Ambassador Joey Bimha
Ambassador Boniface Chidyausiku
Mr Tobaiwa Mudede
Ambassador Kelebert Nkomani
Mrs Ethel Mlalazi
Mrs Anne Knuth
Mr Valentine Vera

Presidential spokesperson George Charamba was elevated to Deputy Chief Secretary in charge of presidential communications.
