Jah Prayzah Disappoints as Winky D Shines

With veteran Zimdancehall sensation, Winky D also slated to perform before the same audience, one would have expected Jah Prayzah to bring his “A game” and whip a memorable performance on the ready to listen multitudes who filled Harare Gardens for the Econet Kwese Iflix grand draw on Saturday.

Alas! The Watora Mari hitmaker dished a low spirited and drowned second-best performance, and left the stage when people thought he was only getting started.

Having attended countless live acts of the Kutonga Kwaro hitmaker, it is clear that, it is almost a taboo for the crooner to leave the stage without performing “Goto.” On many occasions, even on a bad day, the lanky star has used the song to win over his audience, but on Saturday, he made no effort to do so.

Could it be that he was saving his energy for an audience that had paid to see him perform later that day at Queen of Hearts?

During his performance, one fan even started to call out for Winky D in protest of the quality of performance by Jah Prayzah.

After leaving the stage hurriedly without leaving positive memories, Winky D then made no mistakes, capitalising on Jah Prayzah’s inconsistencies and churned a hit-laden playlist accompanied with a slick performance as per his reputation.

Despite that Winky D was also booked for another gig in Epworth, this did not deter him from delivering well.

He whipped fans into a dancing frenzy chanting his latest “Kasong Kejecha” and “Paperbag” in a way that transformed reportedly “flop” projects into instant hits.
