The Internet Reacts To Tsvangirai’s Death

The Internet is ablaze with emotional farewell messages as nationalities from all walks of life continue to pour tribute to Zimbabwe’s main opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai (65) who passed away last night following a long battle with cancer of the colon.

Tsvangirai made his name by becoming the first opposition leader to go head on against the then Robert Mugabe led ZANU PF . Morgan endured untold suffering and torturing at the hands of a brutal Zanu PF party which resorted to all “dirty tricks” to make sure Tsvangirai will never seat on that sacred throne.

Tsvangirai had been in and out of hospital after revealing to the world that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. A former labor union leader, opposed former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe in every election since 2000 and won a first round presidential vote in 2008 before backing out of the second round, citing violence against his supporters.

Whether you followed him or not, he had the courage to stand for what he believed in. RIP Morgan Tsvangirai.

Ndarwadziwa ini. No matter your political affiliation, you have to respect this man! Morgan Tsvangirai was cut from a different cloth.

Indeed, President Morgan Tsvangirai has left his footprints on the sands of history.

Photo from when Morgan Tsvangirai, Zimbabwe’s leading opposition politician and his delegation visited me in the States. Morgan spent much of his adult life opposing the murderous Mugabe. Fortunately, Mugabe didn’t do him in– cancer did. RIP
