Dynamos Football Club head coach Lloyd Mutasa is relishing the chances of an emotional reunion with Caps United defensive midfielder,Defon Chafa, if the club’s management manages to agree terms with the player.
Mutasa introduced Devon Chafa to premiership football in 2011 during his first stint as Dembare coach, before leaving the club in the hands of Callisto Pasuwa.
Mutasa told 263Chat that Chafa, whose contract with Caps United expired on December 31 2017, is free to cross the floor from Dembare’s city rivals and join the Mbare based club.
“As a coach who has worked with Chafa, it will be nice to work with him again if he is a free agent and I know the kind of impact that he will come with to the team.
“If the executive manages to meet his personal terms, it will be an honor to be associated with him once again.
“Every coach would want to have a player like Devon in his team because he is capable of doing what is required from him,” said Mutasa.
Chafa won league titles with Dynamos before moving to How Mine and joined Makepekepe in 2016, where he also won the league.
Currently ,the player is tangled in a tag of war with the club as he revealed recently that he feels under appreciated, as a move to Dembare is possible.
His expected move to Egypt failed to materialize after his agent failed to agree terms with an Egyptian club, Wadi Degla
Meanwhile, Dynamos are continuing with preparations for the upcoming season as they play Buffalo FC and Mushowani Stars over the world.
