Castle Lager Premier Soccer League week 14 was full of trilling encounters as Highlanders’ late equaliser was disallowed for off-side in the second half in a controversial moment at Rufaro stadium.
The Five-goal thriller saw Dynamos winning the match 3-2 after Quader Amini scored a winner in the 73rd minute, Edwin Muzanenhamo scored to level the score-line but the equaliser was disallowed.
Bosso gaffer Bongani Mafu was disappointed with the result, as his charges dominated the match and could have hold on to the lead.
“We played well, we dominated the game but could not hold on to win. We need to finish off games and the result was not good for us. Goalkeeper could have saved those first two goals,” said Mafu.
It was different story with Dynamos coach David Mandigora was a relieved man as he came into the match on the back of three successive draws.
“We played well, but Highlanders were the better side in the second half and we are happy that we managed to get three points out of a difficult match,” revealed Mandigora.
The thriller was the clash of the biggest football teams in the country and the matched lived up to the expectation as both teams produced five splendid goals including a brace from either side by Ronald Chitiyo and Knox Mutizwa.
