The 26 year old crooner from Spoken Word Ministries who grew up as an orphan, says his upcoming project was mainly inspired by his life experiences and the teachings from the word of God.

“This Album was mostly influenced with what I have been through and how I overcame through the Word of God which is the standard for my life.

“With this launch, I’m announcing to anyone who is going through challenges and is thinking of giving up that the word of God is the only Standard for living through which we can overcome- Isaiah 59 vs 19,” he said.

Chiero (Standard) which is Nyakabau’s third album features two heavy weights in the gospel musicians, Hannah Chikosi Mapepeta and the Skosana family from South Africa who have confirmed their availability for Nyakabao’s launch.

“Of the 10 songs on the album, I recorded 9 at Limitless Production with Wisdom Nyaparami and the other one called ‘Thy Will be Done’ I did it in South Africa with Skosana Family.

“Some of the songs to look up to on the album include Chiero-Standard, Thy will be done, There is Power and Tamunyadzisa satani,” he said

Joseph Nyakabau who is also a music teacher at Kuwadzana High School has two albums to his name – Mandichengeta released in 2008 and Nguva Yapera (2012).

“My most memorable moments as a gospel musician are when I sang and a certain lady was healed of arthritis and when I performed with my students for President R.G Mugabe in 2016.

“To me singing gospel is like preaching and I believe we cannot commercialize it but the costs of producing the music compels us to charge for the furtherance of the music ministry Pasina kudaro kana nyika chaiyo ingatoparara– we need financial support,” he added.
