Former Third Generation band member, Pamela Zulu popularly known as Gonyeti has parted ways with her manager Filda Muchabaiwa.

Muchabaiwa who has been managing Gonyeti since she left Jah Prayzah last year said the decision to end her working relationship with the Madhin’alidhin’ali hitmaker was to give herself time to work on her new projects which she reckons needs her total commitment.

Under the management of Muchabaiwa, better known as Mama Filo, Gonyeti released two albums titled One day and Madhin’adhin’ali which did not perform well due to a number of challenges including economic hardships and poor marketing.

In an interview with 263Chat Muchabaiwa said, “I am no-longer working with Gonyeti not because of anything bad, I have decided to devote more time to my new projects which will not allow me to give my best to Gonyeti’s project especially when she has to go out of Harare.”

She said she is still in good books with the former Third Generation backing vocalist and dancer adding that she will always be available to help whenever need arises.

Contacted for comment, Gonyeti said she was still in shock as she never expected Muchabaiwa to leave her.

“I am in shock, but that’s life, I need to solider on. I am going to work hard so that i make her proud,” said Gonyeti.

Besides Gonyeti, Muchabaiwa has previously worked with Jah Prayzah and Andy Muridzo and is credited for the two musicians’ rise to stardom.
