Leading stationery retailer, First Pack on Friday launched a back to school promotion in which learners who buy products from their stores will win a starter pack with an assortment of school necessities.
Speaking at the launch of the back to school promotion which will run from the 1st to the 30th of September, Business Development Manager Charles Munemo saying the company is trying to connect the community by giving to the less privileged in society.
“We want to make sure the less privileged have enough before schools open and we are donating through our customers,
“Each customer that buys products worth $5 should take a selfie in the branch, post it on Facebook and get 10 likes to win a “Back to School With Heart” starter pack,” said Munemo.
The Starter pack consists of an exercise book, pen, pencil, ruler and rubber.
“We are encouraging everyone to take part as we are giving away 500 sets of the starter pack,” he added.
Children from Matthew Rusike Children’s home who took part in competitions at the launch of the promotion walked away with stationery prizes.
In an interview with 263Chat, Sylvia Mukuwuri from Matthew Rusike Children’s home applauded First Pack for their promotion which she said will go a long way in helping disadvantaged children prepare for the new school term.
“First Pack invited us today and gave away prizes to the children in form of text books, exercise books and pens in preparation of the new term,” said Mukuwuri.
First Pack also announced that the top 10 liked pictures on Facebook will also win text books which will be donated to a child of the winners’ choice.
