Denis Dauda, one of Caps United’s full back believes the match stands between the Green Machine and history, knowing a win against one of Africa’s most decorated team will not only take them to the mini-league stage of the competition but set them in the history books as one of the few underdogs to shock TP Mazembe.
In an interview with 263Chat at their training session at National Sport Stadium, Dauda said “the game is going to be a tough but we are going to try to make history for Caps United because we have a good squad with experienced players.
“This game means a lot to us because TP Mazembe is a big club which does not take anything for granted, so we need to stay focused on the game.”
“The coaches are giving us the correct training for the game because in the camp the moral is high, everyone knows the importance of qualification to the group stages,” said Dauda.
He added that he expects a busy day as Mazembe has quality strikers who can terrorize us if we are not organised at the back.
