It will be a tricky test for Guus Hiddink’s Chelsea side, whose name was in the hat after demolishing an unfamiliar Manchester City team 5-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The Premier League pair will go up against each other seven years after their FA Cup final where the London team, led by Hiddink in his first spell with the Blues, won 2-1 thanks to Frank Lampard’s second-half goal.
Manchester United and League One Shrewsbury play their fifth-round tie on Monday with the winner set to host West Ham, who thrashed Blackburn on Sunday.
In the other games, Championship side Reading were rewarded with another home tie after their weekend heroics against West Brom and they will take on Crystal Palace, who impressed on Sunday with a 1-0 win at Tottenham.
Holders Arsenal still have to overcome a replay at Hull City, with the winners hosting Watford who needed an own goal to conquer Championship side Leeds on Saturday.
Full quarter-final draw:
Everton v Chelsea
Reading v Crystal Palace
Arsenal or Hull City v Watford
Shrewsbury or Manchester United v West Ham
