Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine will sit out the second ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 match against the West Indies on Wednesday after he suffered a mild asthmatic attack.
“Ervine is asthmatic and when he presented with moderate symptoms we recommended, as a precautionary measure, that he be rested in order to give him a chance of playing in the next match,” team doctor Solomon Madzogo said.
With Ervine ruled out, vice-captain Regis Chakabva will lead Zimbabwe against the West Indies.
