Multi-award winning Zimdancehall king, Winky D who has been roped in to replace the Nigerian superstar, Davido who is no longer able to attend Jah Prayzah’s Kutonga Kwaro album launch has charmed fans to come out in numbers and support Zimbabwe’s man of the moment.

The organizers have also sought the services of superstar, Oliver Mtukudzi to fill the void left by the absence of Davido who is currently going through a difficult time following his alleged links to the murder of his friend Tagbo who died under mysterious circumstances in Nigeria last weekend.

Winky D’s manager, Jonathan Banda believes local artists have a duty to stand for each other be in good or bad times hence their decision to accept an invitation from 2 Kings for the Gafa President to feature at Jah Prayzah’s album launch.

“We had other commitments we wanted to do but we decided to come and help out Jah Prayzah,” said Banda.

He added that despite the short notice, Winky is equal to the task ahead of him and is prepared to do give his best shot as he seeks to cover for Davido’s absence.

“We are going to do our best so that our fans will go home satisfied, we encourage fans to come in their numbers and support Jah Prayzah,” added Banda.

Jah Prayzah has been on a phenomenal rise after collaborating with Tanzanian hotbed Platinum Diamond on the song Watora Mari, South African duo, Mafikizolo on Sendekera and Davido of Nigeria on My Lily.

The Kumumbura Mhute hitmaker is expected to launch his 14 track album together with two new videos at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).

With Tuku and Winky D set to be part of the list of artists set to perform at the launch, fans are guaranteed of a show to remember. It has been long since the three top artists in the country have shared the stage in the country and this show could come as an early Christmas present.
