So I was deliberate in not posting on Monday coz I reaally wanted to see how Chelsea would do against high flying Leicester. Hehehehe I was not disappointed. UTD were downed by giant killers Bournemouth, City escaped with a win and the gunners strolled to a victory. Liverpool still inconsistent.
So City were lucky to come out with a victory. They laboured to a win but hey if you can win ugly then you are in a good position. They really miss Aguero and Kompany. The chances Swansea carved open, with a more ruthless striker, they woulda come away with the win. Can’t say much, they are still my title favs, and whn Kompany and Aguero are back, i fully expect them to kick on. If those 2 and Silva can stay fit, City will take the league.
Arsenal capped off a brilliant week with a routine win at Villa. It was business as usual and Ramsey and Ozil were on automatic. Giroud isn’t so bad hey, i mean he is 3rd fasted to 50 goals in Arsenal history. you look at some of the strikers on that list and you realise, thats pretty impressive!! The gunners seem to be coping with injuries pretty well. Sanchez could be back for City. Don’t say it too loud but the Gunners are looking pretty good right now!!
UTD were beaten. Sure they created a few chances but so did Bournemouth. LVG will point to injuries, but i would tell him to talk to Wenger before bringing up that excuse. LVG’s philosphy is in the shitter. It doesn’t look like the players really like it, and let’s face it, UTD are just too predictable. Martial spurned some great chances and taking of Fellaini was just stupid. What was great for UTD was that those close to them all lost. So they didnt lose too much ground, but they need a change in Philosophy (get rid of LVG) if they wanna go anywhere. Right now its top 4 for them.
Liverpool drew a match they probably should have lost. Got to commend the fighting spirit though. And that’s what Klopp brings to the table. You can see the players want to in for him and are giving their all. Once Klopp can sign a few players to fit his style and get rid of Rodgers dross, then Liverpool will be a scary proposition. Right now though they are a better side than UTD and if they manage to leapfrog their rivals at some point, they will be a shoe for top 4. Have to get some sort of consistency though MAN!!
Chelsea oh Chelsea. Wilbert Sibanda I said Leceister would beat for the simple fact that they are on form and you are not. And it came to pass. Mou says his plays have betrayed him, basically bigging himself up and shitting on his players. Costa cast shade on his defense, when he really should be looking at himself. That dressing room must suck at the moment. Let’s not kid ourselves, Leicester played the better football. Vardy and Mahrez, I got no words. Dynamic duo. Right now there are no 2 players playing this well for the same team. Chelsea are sliding into oblivion. Next up a horrible sunderland. If they lose that, they are officially in the relegation zone. YIKES.
Rankings:
1. Leicester – My Word, they just wont go away!! They have a pretty tough December but don’t bet on them slowing down
2. Arsenal – I have been made to eat my words, the Gunners are dealing with their injuries admirably. Next up CITY!!!
3. City – Still not consistent enough but hey Aguero and Kompany to come back
4. Liverpool – Fighting spirit is being shown. Consistency needed. Better than UTD though.
5. UTD – Philosophy philosophy. Needs to change, and quick.
Busy December guys. This should really shape the league. By the new year we will know the contenders from the pretenders. As well as if Chelsea will be relegated or not hehehehe!!!
